This was a project final at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Although the company is not real, the design was created based on what would have been the company brief.
The brief was:
Holland Strong Scotch Ale: Brand new product from the Holland Microwbrewing Company. In need of a logo and branding to help launch our new Strong Scotch Ale brand. Logo will be used on package design, outdoor signage at the brewery and company shirts and merch. This traditional "Wee Heavy" has the rich malty flavor of caramel with a hint of sweetness and a beautifully deep brown color. Coming at 9% ABV this ale has it all. Based in Lawrence, MA.
The final design considers the flavors, colors and location of the beer. This is done by including a color palette that complements the colors of the beer and have associations with sweetness. As well as including a landmark building in Lawrence, MA. This project was completed August 2021.
